June 2000 - July 2002 I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Federated States of Micronesia.  I spent my first month in training in Kosrae State before being placed on Moch Island in the Mortlock Atoll in Chuuk State as a Library Development Volunteer.  After 1 year on Moch, I transferred to Pohnpei State where I built a library at Palikir Elementary School and produced a school library development tool kit and how-to video at the National College of the FSM.

I returned to Micronesia in June 2005 to develop an organization capacity building center at Pohnpei College.  I also worked for the National Department of Health, Education and Social Affairs Division of Youth Affairs facilitating training-of-trainers workshops in community action planning for youth suicide prevention September 2005 - June 2006.  I was an instructor at Yap College the summer of 2006.
